Avowed looks SIGNIFICANTLY better than that isometric turn-based mediocre game Baldur's Gate 3. Really... no open world, TURN-BASED COMBAT, DICE... Even not finished The Outer Worlds easily eliminates this overrated BG3

Combat looks like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. And it is COOL. The only cool MODERN GAMES are created by Obsidian. The Outer Worlds 1 - is a MASTERPIECE. Waiting for The Outer Worlds 2! And now... Obsidian creates Avowed... That is the truly masterpiece!

How about epic incorporate an ai tool...that is trained on photoreal...to adjust post process and optimise project settings...one click photoreal...and it can do the same...for toon...anime...stylised...mono...etc etc...and you can still tweak....as usual...that way youve got standardised photoreal for people who like elden ring sexier etc...

It doesn't have a proper sense of speed. No matter what trailer I watch, what car they are using, the car always seems to be going really slow. Reminds me of 90's car games.... but with nicer graphics!

TL;dr: This is a composite clone of a few major AAA titles, hobbled together into a game that would be acceptable as a MOBILE title for its quality and mechanics. Ultimately, this game fails to be anything more than a soulless shell with mediocre mechanics hidden underneath a glossy shell, designed to give players just enough of a dopamine hit to where they'll likely buy expensive game add-ons or credits of some kind. Don't be fooled by the clever marketing... Nexon Korea is trying to sell you a lackluster Frankenstein's monster made from the bones of Anthem, The Division, Outriders, and Warframe, dressed up with overblown explosions and sound effects, braindead AI, and a dusting of female-objectification. This just makes me miss Anthem. Nothing against the devs here, they've done… something… but this feels like yet another _soulless_ clone that provides 0 innovation except for stealing and combining the work of 3+ existing innovative games. I can literally see the parts of this that came from Anthem, they didn't even change the font or color scheme on the level-up banners. Same reticle system and hit marker system as well. The only change made there is the text size increase on critical hits is blown out of proportion, as are the sounds. For those who remember Anthem, watch around 51:50 where the player fights a mini-boss and uses frost rockets. Tell me this isn't a flightless anthem fight with a touch of “The Division?” Lots more stolen here from TC's “The Division” as well. Having watched this entire gameplay, it is straightforward to tell that your studio stole several mechanics from other titles. It is also easy to tell that you tried to develop a few mechanics in-house, and failed to do so at a AAA level. For instance, the general combat mechanics seem _decent_, and elemental effects are very reminiscent of other games, so I'm assuming you've just copied them. However, you clearly debated about adding a flight mechanic and, instead, opted for the _jankiest_ grappling hook mechanic I have _ever_ _seen_ . There are more effective versions in the unreal marketplace. Likewise, the way character models interact with loot containers is... _primitive_ ... I think that's the best word for it. You have complex multi-stage reload and firing animations, yet if your character interacts with a barrel crate, they just tap the side, the top flops off, and the entire box entity despawns in under 10 frames? We get it, you can't be original. You've mastered the art of cloning existing innovations and increasing the Dopamine factor. The sounds and explosions are overdone, the female characters are more objectified, and you've increased the number of enemies while making them easier to kill (and with more path-dependent AI, so they're practically brain-dead). I hope that the intention was to revive the best parts of games like Anthem for a new generation of players to experience them. However, if this goes the route many other games do, this will only serve to entice those of us who remember the good times to buy in early. Before hitting us with expensive pay to win add-on packages and ultimately letting us down. @Nexon you did a great job with Dave The Diver. That felt original. Why then did you decide to cobble together this blatantly stolen money grab of a title?

The demo ends today. This game has proven to be much fun. I will buy it when the full version releases.
